What we confess: We are ‘the last’ in the verse (the humble, broken, wretches). The ones He came to save.

What we profess: In Christ, I am ‘the first’ (a winner, for example, Eric Liddle)

This gives us joy. Believe it! We are more than conquerors! We get to serve Him, pray to Him, love Him, serve others and fellowship. Be thankful we don’t have to perform to the world’s standards or expectations. We’ve already won!
