When did you try to please God “in the flesh”? How did you experience God’s “life and peace”?
Wednesday (verses 9-11) Walking in the Spirit
How does this passage compare to the work of the Spirit in John 3:1-17? What is the evidence that your spirit is alive?
Thursday (verses 12-17) We are God’s children
How do you keep the obligation of life by the Spirit from becoming burden? When has the joy of being a child of God been most powerful in your life?
Friday (verses 18-27) Groaning now, but the hope of freedom
Where is the “groaning” in your life? Where do you see the “glorious freedom” beginning to break out in your life?
Saturday (verses 28-35) The Spirit intercedes
When was this great promise of our security most challenged? How did God show himself faithful at that moment? Which of these promises is most important to you right now?
